• The handle is made of bamboo, an environmentally sustainable material.
• Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth, once cut back it grows back … and fast !
• Bamboo is naturally sterile and anti bacterial and because of this, there is no requirement for pesticides to be used during its growth.
• A bamboo toothbrush will work in exactly the same way as a conventional plastic toothbrush and will last the same amount of time as a conventional plastic toothbrush, three months as recommended by dental experts.

• At end of life you can reuse your toothbrush in many different ways, for example, as a cleaning brush, paint stirrer or anything you need to get into those nucks and crannies with ! (Not sure if these are real words, but hey, you get my drift …. reuse reuse reuse !)
• The bristles are made from nylon and are currently not biodegradable.
• Bristles are soft/medium.
• You can either pull out the bristles with a pliers and dispose of in your general waste bin or break off the head of the brush and compost the rest of the handle.
• By making a change to a bamboo toothbrush, you will be playing your part in reducing the 2 BILLION plastic toothbrushes which end up in landfill and in our oceans every year !!
